Europcar, one of the world’s most popular vehicle rental providers, has announced that customers in New Zealand can now hire a MINI Hatch Cooper from its diverse fleet.
Compact, surprisingly spacious and with an outstanding fuel economy, the MINI Hatch Cooper with manual transmission offers drivers the grown-up go-kart feeling inherent to the MINI brand, Managing Director of the BMW Group New Zealand, Nina Englert, said.
“MINI vehicles are renowned for their unique and sophisticated personality, and with its exceptional driving experience and distinctive design the MINI Hatch Cooper is no exception,” Ms Englert said.
“We are delighted this vehicle is now available to Europcar customers, giving more drivers the chance to discover the exciting and invigorating MINI experience.”
The MINI Hatch Cooper is a zippy, three-door manual hatch that seats four people, with features including air-conditioning, multiple airbags, MP3/CD Player, bluetooth, rear parking sensors and remote central locking.
The vehicle also has a five star safety rating, with dynamic stability control, antilock braking system, brake assistant, cornering brake control and dynamic traction control.
Europcar Australia and New Zealand Managing Director, Ron Santiago, said Europcar was committed to offering vehicles with high ratings in both safety and environmental sustainability, so the new MINI Hatch Cooper was a perfect addition to the Europcar fleet.
“Like the BMW Group, which has been recognised consistently as the world’s most sustainable automotive manufacturer in the the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, Europcar places value in sustainability and has developed our own Green Charter with our main partners,” Mr Santiago said.
“We’re looking forward to the new MINI Hatch Cooper fulfilling customer demand for a premium, fun, safe and sporty new car offering.”
The MINI Hatch Cooper with manual transmission is already available from Europcar’s rental locations in the North Island and will be available from locations in the South Island from December. To launch the vehicle range, customers can hire the prestige vehicle at an introductory offer of $89 per day.
Mr Santiago added that the introduction of the MINI Hatch Cooper built on Europcar’s existing relationship with the BMW Group, with Europcar’s fleet of prestige vehicles also including the BMW 320d.
